THE SPECIALIZED PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF OUR FUTURE COOKS STARTS

The first course of the year in Production of culinary products and beverages started on 24.04.2023. Traditionally, the general vocational training classes take place on the territory of CHRDRI. Students have only 48 hours to prepare for the upcoming full immersion in the science of food preparation. And this is happening today, 03.05.2023, when the training course is moving to Pastri Academy. Here, under the expert guidance of Chef Radi Stambolov, Chef Mila Miller and Chef Svetlana Genova, 15 students who have passed a pre-selection for inclusion in the course will get their first lessons in the profession. Cooking is science and art in one, so in the upcoming months they will have to put a lot of effort into learning and will be able to unleash their creative potential. But with the necessary responsibility, since nutrition is the key to health, and even one error in the preparation of a food product or beverage may have negative consequences. The students will be able to practice the theoretical knowledge acquired at Pastri Academy during a 204 hours production practice in partner catering establishments. The joint work of the teams of CHRDRI and Pastri Academy in the past few years is oriented towards more successfully implemented students in the profession, since the demand for professionals in this business is high, it has a wide application and certified cooks are needed both in reputable restaurants, factories, hospitals, kindergartens and etc. The successful graduate in this course should feel passion for the profession, should be ready to spend lots of hours in the kitchen for the preparation of a dish that will be finnished in minutes.

Two state exams, in theory and practice, will take place in the end of the course in Production of culinary products and beverages in the last days of August. Students who have successfully passed these exams will receive a certificate for a second qualification degree in the profession.
