MEETING WITH THE AMBASSADOR OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY

The Director of the Centre for Human Resource Development and Regional Initiatives Ivan Bakalov took part in a meeting on the dual vocational training held at the German Embassy in Bulgaria.

Mr. Bakalov and his team were part of an event that marked the symbolic beginning of a partnership in the field of dual vocational training. The meeting was opened by Her Excellency Ms. Irene Plank, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Bulgaria. Its first part was held at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany where the dual vocational training in Germany was presented. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the Ministry of Education and Science.

Later, the same day the participants of the meeting visited the Vocational Training Center in Kremikovtzi, where they got acquainted with the training conditions offered at CHRDRI. Talks were held on partnership opportunities for the development of dual education with the active partnership of CHRDRI.

 The dual vocational training model allows for close cooperation between companies and vocational training centers. In this way, participants receive good professional training and expertise. The dual training model originates from Germany, but is already gaining ground in Bulgaria and many other countries.
