Future confectioners begin their professional training

The first training course of the year in "Production of confectionery products", that began on 29.05.2023, has already completed the general vocational training, which took place on the territory of CHRDRI. From the 07^th of June 2023, the classes in specialized professional training will start  at Pastry Academy. For the next couple of months and under the expert guidance of Chef Radi Stambolov, Chef Mila Miller and Chef Svetlana Genova, the 15 students who have passed a preliminary selection for inclusion in the course will receive their first knowledge of the profession of Baker and Confectioner.

The intricacies of the profession the students will learn in the classes of industrial and specific vocational training, in which they will get acquainted from A to Z with the organization and control of the work in confectionery production, will get acquainted with hygiene standards and safety requirements, will acquire knowledge on raw materials, ingredients and technologies of the production of bread and confectionery.

The theoretical knowledge acquired at Pastry Academy the students will practice for 160 hours in partner catering establishments. The joint work of the teams of CHRDRI and Pastry Academy in the last few years is in the direction of more successful baker-confectioner students, as the demand for professionals in this business grows. The professional qualification has an extremely wide application, but at the same time the requirements for professionals when starting work are constantly growing. That is why both the methodologists of the Center and the professionals at Pastri Academy work constantly to improve the quality of teaching, which will give a significantly higher chance to graduates in the search for professional career as Bakers and Confectioners.

The course in "Production of confectionery products" will end with the passing of state exams in theory and practice in the last days of September. Students who successfully pass these exams will be issued a certificate of acquired second qualification degree in the profession "Baker-confectioner".
