WORKSHOP ON TOPIC "COMMITMENTS OF "SOCIAL ASSISTANCE" DIRECTORATES IN IMPLEMENTING THE PERSONAL ASSISTANCE MECHANISM"

On March 15-16, 2023, a Workshop on topic "Commitments of "Social Assistance" Directorates in the Implementation of the Personal Assistance Mechanism” was held at the CHRDRI. 20 employees in management and expert positions from the Social Assistance Agency took part in it.

During the workshop sessions, key issues related to the implementation of the personal assistance mechanism were discussed. Issues related to the rules and procedures for providing support to persons with disabilities in accordance with the current legislation and the application of the rules and steps for preparing an individual assessment of needs, according to the "Methodology for Carrying out an Individual Assessment of People with Disabilities’ Support Needs" were discussed.

During the two days of the training, exercises were carried out and the trainees were divided in working groups on topics related to the terms and conditions for inclusion in the personal assistance mechanism. The main rules and commitments of the municipal administration in the provision of the personal assistance mechanism were discussed, as well as the difficulties that are registered in the provision of the personal assistance mechanism by the supplier.
