The workshop presented the latest trends in policy for people with disabilities through international and EU documents regulating the rights of children and adults with disabilities and the establishment of guarantees for equal participation in public life.The training included theoretical and practical part. After a systematic review of European policies on disability and analysis of content and obligations arising from ratification of the UN Convention and its Optional Protocol was implemented for the practical consideration and discussion of thematic issues.
After completing the training participants increased their competence and knowledge regarding the current trends in policy towards people with disabilities and their degree of tolerance and non-discrimination towards this social group.
