The training is part of the National Program "Activation of Non-Active Persons". It is carried out with the joint efforts of the Center for Human Resource Development and Regional Initiatives at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, The National Employment Agency and "Institutional Capacity Building of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy" Project with Mrs. Anna Athanassova as a Project Coordinator.
The training was officially opened by Mr. Nikolay Nikolov, deputy executive director of the National Employment Agency and Mr. Vassil Voynov, deputy director of CHRDRI.
36 registered unemployed people throughout the whole country, who have identified themselves as being Roma, will take part in the training. In the course of two weeks they will be acquainted with: the legal documents, regulating the work of the National Employment Agency; basic knowledge of the labor market; the labor market subjects; the responsibilities of the labor market mediators at the Labor Office Directorates; communication skills - speaking, listening, comprehension; the main activities of the Labor Office Directorates - Mediation Services and Active Labor Market Policy Departments; the behavioral standards in dealing with the Employment Agency clients; team working at the Labor Office Directorates; the role play for acquiring convincing skills.
As lecturers have been attracted: Mr. Baki Hyuseinov, National Coordinator of the Decade of Roma Inclusion Initiative, Mrs. Ivanka Avramova, Head of Department "Staff Qualification" at the National Employment Agency, Mrs. Maria Stambolieva, Head of Department "Client Services", Directorate General of Social Assistance at the Social Assistance Agency.
Those who successfully complete the training will be given certificates for a vocational qualification as part of the profession "Labor Market Mediator" and will take the positions of labor market mediators in the labor offices throughout the country.
