On 15 and 16 October in CHRDRI will be conducted training on "Social work with local communities." To participate in the seminar are invited employees at managerial and expert positions from MLSP and SLUs to the Minister of Labour and Social Policy, and other administrations, including experts form the Social assistance Agency and social workers from the Social Assistance Directorate and Social Assistance Regional Directorates, and other central and local administrations , municipalities, social partners and NGOs that are directly involved in working with local communities.
During the seminar, participants will learn about the nature, purposes and principles of social work with local communities and will increase their knowledge about the role of an employee in the process of planning and implementation of social work with a local community.
Lecturers of the seminar will be Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lilyana Strakova and Mrs. Maria Petkova. Ms. Strakova is a longtime lecturer in social activities seminars and head of "Social Work" Department at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridsky". She has research experience in the study and construction of models in the process of social work with various vulnerable groups. As director of the "TULIP" Foundation, whose mission is to promote social responsibility in Bulgarian society through various programs and activities, Ms. Petkova will provide valuable experience in practical work with local communities.
Successful graduates will receive certificates.
